Where do we stand? In or out
The function of a window depends on where we stand. Looking out of the window is considered quite natural .Whereas looking inside is not acceptable at all in society since it means invasion of privacy , which has been imposed on us by the objects like blinders, bars that we see in daily life. The main reason is individuals being alienated from others due to overpopulation. As a result, people who are outside become complete strangers and regard windows as windows only.Actually each window represents a different life, different individuals & in short , a point where differences occur. A window , that has many clues about what is going on inside, is not more than a simple shape for the ones that pass by .How about the sounds made? They can reach anywhere that we cannot easily.
In this exhibition ,by standing at the same point & being guests let’s see what these windows would whisper about homes that we are complete strangers to if we look at the same windows with the help of pictures drawn by sounds, see what we are allowed to see, hear more than we are allowed to hear .
How about listening in on what is going on at homes without having the chance to see inside?
